Four lawyers from Portland commercial law firm Greene & Markley, P.C. were honored in the 2012 issue of Oregon Super Lawyers® magazine. The publication identifies the top five percent of attorneys in the state, as chosen by their peers and through the research of Super Lawyers, which is a service of the Thomson Reuters, Legal division.
In its list of the state’s outstanding lawyers, Oregon Super Lawyers® once again has included Ward Greene, Charles Markley, and David Foraker, the three founding partners of the Greene & Markley law firm. Greene also received special mention for being among the Top 50 attorneys in Oregon.
Jessica (Shoup) McConnell was selected as a Rising Star. While up to five percent of the lawyers in the state are named to the Super Lawyers® roster, no more than 2.5 percent are named to the Rising Stars list.
An associate with the firm, McConnell concentrates her practice in federal, state, and local tax controversies, including tax audits, offers in compromise, and tax collection matters.
Each year, the research team at Super Lawyers® undertakes a rigorous multi-phase selection process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent evaluation of candidates by the attorney-led research staff, a peer review of candidates by practice area, and a good-standing and disciplinary check.
