Four Greene & Markley Attorneys Honored in Oregon Super Lawyers Magazine
PORTLAND, Ore. - June 2011 - In its 2011 ranking of the state's top lawyers, Oregon Super Lawyers® magazine once again has included four lawyers from Portland commercial law firm Greene & Markley, P.C.
Every year, the Oregon Super Lawyers publication identifies the top five percent of attorneys in the state, as chosen by their peers and through the research of Super Lawyers, which is a service of the Thomson Reuters, Legal division.
Partner Charles Markley was named a top real estate lawyer. Partners Ward Greene and David Foraker were recognized in the area of bankruptcy and creditor/debtor rights. Ward Greene also received special mention for being among the Top 50 attorneys in Oregon.
Jessica (Shoup) McConnell, an associate with Greene & Markley, was selected as a Rising Star in the taxation category. No more than 2.5 percent of the state's attorneys are named to the Rising Stars list.
To compile its lists of top attorneys, the research team at Super Lawyers® undertakes a rigorous multi-phase selection process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent evaluation of candidates by the attorney-led research staff, a peer review of candidates by practice area, and a good-standing and disciplinary check.
