Heather Harriman Re-elected to Oregon State Bar Taxation Section Executive Committee
PORTLAND, Ore. - October 21, 2011 - Portland commercial law firm Greene & Markley, P.C. announced today that partner Heather E. Harriman has been re-elected to the Oregon State Bar Taxation Section's executive committee for a two-year term starting January 2012. She has served on the executive committee since 2010, and has been a member of the Section's legislative committee, now called the Laws Committee, since 2009.
Harriman heads the tax controversy group at Greene & Markley. Her practice focuses on federal, state and local tax controversies, including tax litigation, tax audits and tax collection. She also handles general commercial matters involving bankruptcy, debtor-creditor issues, collection, business litigation, and commercial real estate.
The Taxation Section of the Oregon State Bar provides a forum for sharing information about federal and state tax issues and helps promote professionalism, leadership, and continuing legal education for its members and other attorneys practicing tax law in Oregon. The Section also works with the Bar to propose and comment on tax-related legislation and administrative rules.
