Greene
& Markley is recognized throughout the Pacific Northwest as a
leader in bankruptcy and insolvency matters. The firm was originally
founded in 1982 as a boutique law firm that focused on bankruptcy
related matters. We pride ourselves in finding practical and creative
business solutions to complex problems that face any of the various
constituencies of a financially troubled debtor.
The Greene & Markley Bankruptcy and Reorganization Practice Group
has the capacity and experience to handle any kind of problem
that might arise in connection with a bankruptcy or insolvency
situation. Members of the practice group have represented debtors,
creditors, creditors’ committees, trustees, receivers and asset
purchasers in reorganization and liquidation bankruptcy cases,
as well as in nonbankruptcy settings. The firm also has experience
in representing parties in a broad range of industries, including
agriculture, health care, retail, real estate, manufacturing,
transportation and financial services.
Members of this practice group frequently serve as lecturers on
bankruptcy topics at seminars and legal education programs in
the Pacific Northwest. In addition, members of the practice group
serve on various committees sponsored by the Debtor/Creditor Section
of the Oregon State Bar Association. Ward Greene is a fellow of
the American College of Bankruptcy, and David Foraker was one
of the first attorneys in Oregon to be certified in business bankruptcy
law by the American Board of Certification.
